enabled to recognise patterns and regularities on the basis of existing data and al-

gorithms and to provide intelligent solutions. Artificial knowledge is generated from

experience, so to speak. Classification is a specific process of categorising a given set

of data into classes, i.e. into sets of objects with the same or similar properties. It can

be performed on both structured or unstructured data. The process starts with pre-

dicting the class of given data set. The classes are often referred to as target, label or

categories.
